I am supporting Sacha's fundraising efforts to make her Flight of the Vultures project a reality.
This is a global conservation cause to save a valuable yet controversial species. Vultures have had a bad press. But better awareness of the vital importance of the role of vultures in nature's matrix will help us help them, and through them ourselves as humanity.
That has to be the Bewick Swans who migrate between Western Europe and Northern Siberia, as brilliantly brought to life by Sacha's amazing film. As charity 'Solidarity With Arts and Nature' we were delighted to support her film which illustrates what can bring people of different nations together.
This was taken of me aloft on the Pelican of London tallship - a Darwin200 trial voyage around the British Isles supporter by the Don Hanson Charitable Foundation. What an amazing global project under the inspirational leadership of Stewart McPherson - a tallship voyage in Darwin's footsteps to Australia and back over two years creating 200 young Darwin Leaders - the conservationists of the future! And we'll all be thinking more about vultures from now on.
